Customer Reviews Summary

"Awoke to bubbling in a toilet and found our septic tank was full. Called Bishop-Thiem Septic Service to pump the tank because we used them five years ago and they did an fantastic job including installing a riser for easy access. They were also very reasonably priced. We learned that the company was bought out by a large company, Wind River Environmental. The prices were much higher, $900 to come out, $300 of that was an "emergency fee' for them to come out the same day. We were desperate so agreed to the higher charge. During the clean out an old broken filter was found in the bottom of the tank which the tech fished out with a garden tool from our garage (see pictures attached). The technician did not know what it was and listed that the tank had no filter and that a filter could not be put in the tank. We were told that we may have an issue with the drain lines in our yard which could be confirmed for another $2,200 and would require digging up our yard. If lines needed to be replaced that would be thousands much. We did not desire further work and were assured by the company that we would not be charged anything more than the original quote of $900 for pumping the system. Our card was charge above what we were quoted and among the services listed was cleaning a filter. We will not use Wind River in the future and do not recommend them."
